Alex Lahey Announced A New Album Called ‘The Answer Is Always Yes’ And Released The Single ‘Good Time’

Alex Lahey is back with the announcement of her new album The Answer Is Always Yes, her follow-up to her 2019 LP The Best Of Luck Club. It will feature recent songs like “Congratulations” and “Sh*t Talkin’,” as well as her brand new single, “Good Time.” The singer/songwriter also announced a big tour beginning in May and going through June.

“This song was inspired by a night out I had at the pub with my friend soon after Melbourne came out of lengthy lockdowns,” Lahey said about the track. “We were watching all these strangers around us have this ‘whatever it takes’ attitude towards making the most of the night (aka getting lit). It was a bit of a shock after being cooped up for so long, but also kind of invigorating.”

About the record, Lahey added, “Living in a world that wasn’t made for you makes you pretty strong and adaptive, and you find the fun in it. It also makes you realize how absurd everything is. With this record, I wanted to get weird because the world is weird, and it’s even weirder when you realize you don’t fit into it all the time.”

Jordan Klepper Talked To Trump Supporters Who Think He’s Still President At The Big Guy’s ‘Intimate’ Not-Quite-Rally In South Carolina

This weekend, two-and-a-half months after announcing his third presidential run, Donald Trump belatedly started campaigning. To say he started small would be an understatement. His first even was held not at some massive arena but at a…high school auditorium. His second, held later the same day in South Carolina, began life as a proper rally before being downgraded to an “intimate” whatzit. It’s all a bit confounding, especially since Trump once commanded Taylor Swift-level crowds. And when The Daily Show‘s Jordan Klepper showed up to check the latter event out, he found MAGA heads who were confused about other things as well.

Two older women Klepper spoke to, for instance, swore that Joe Biden isn’t the sitting president. It’s still Trump. “There’s a lot of things that this Biden person doesn’t have like the presidential seal,” one told Klepper. A perplexed Klepper pointed out that Biden does and he speaks in front of it often. He was told that one’s fake.

They also claimed Trump still controls the U.S. military. After Klepper asked if Trump was then responsible for the assistance in Ukraine, they informed that there are “two militaries”: a “good” one, commanded by Trump, and a “bad” one, run by non-president Biden.

One gentleman argued that Trump’s third campaign is more “elevated” and “mature,” and that he’s “toning the comments down.” The man, speaking of a guy who’s already trashing potential GOP rivals, was wearing a hat that said “I could sh*t a better president.”

Another agreed with Trump’s bizarre boast that he could end the Ukraine-Russia skirmish in “24 hours.” Putin, the man argued, knows that if Trump, say, threatens military force, he’s really going to do it. That said, he knew that if Putin thought Trump was bluffing, Trump couldn’t actually send in troops lest he start a war.

“It seems like a complicated situation,” Klepper charitably told the man about his theory.

You can watch Klepper’s latest of many dalliances with the MAGA crowd in the video above.

Justine Skye Shows Fans Her ‘Darkside’ With Her New Album

Justine Skye will show a different side of herself after releasing her latest project, Darkside. The album, which dropped today, would be her first project since 2021’s Space & Time, which features production from Grammy award-winning hitmaker Timberland. The “Hard Work” singer took to Instagram to share the news about the release.

The project features several new songs and some other popular songs from her catalog, including a solo version of “Collide” (the original track featured a verse from Tyga). Fans can also expect to hear a sped-up version of the track on the album.

“For those of you who are new, enjoy,” she wrote on Instagram Tuesday (Janurary 31). “The ones that have been with me from the beginning feel free to dive back in. I’m so positively overwhelmed with the response Collide has gotten, and [I] wanted to give love to some of my favorites from my previous projects as I finish up this next album. Love you all, thank you.”

To accompany the album’s release, the former Roc Nation artist performed a few tracks from the new project on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Donned in a skin-tight black dress, the singer offers a more intimate performance of “Collide,” one of her biggest tracks to date, which has seen quite a resurgence on TikTok lately. The soulful singer has come a long way from her “purple unicorn” Tumblr days and is seemingly moving from behind the shadow of her famous friends, which include stars like Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber. It’ll be nice to see where she goes and what she has planned for herself in the future.

Check out the tracklist below.

George Santos, Who Is Under A Mess Of Investigations, Seriously Complained On The House Floor About A ‘Major Uptick In Crime’

On Tuesday, George Santos did the right thing: He stepped down from two House committees to which he’d been assigned. Why? Because he’s the subject of a slew of investigations into his campaign and personal finances. And yet hours later he was on the House floor, complaining about a “major uptick in crime” happening in his district.

“I rise today to honor the brave men and women of the Nassau County Police Department,” said Santos, who’s being investigated at both the federal and state level. “Last week the Nassau P.D. arrested eight men in New York’s third congressional district who are said to be part of an organized theft group from South America. While I’m grateful for their ongoing commitment to preventing these acts of violence, but [sic] for suburban New Yorkers in New York’s third congressional district, we are seeing a major uptick in crime.”

Santos — who has been accused of misleading voters by lying about, well, almost everything, and whose campaign finances are a hot mess — complaining about a rise in crime inspired a ton of jokes.

When Santos is done looking into organized crime in his district, maybe he can go after the guy who allegedly received donations from people who don’t even exist.

This company makes it easier than ever to enjoy guilt-free fairly traded coffee

Americans love coffee. Like, we really, seriously, truly love it. According to one recent survey, 75 percent of U.S. adults drink coffee at least occasionally, while 53 percent—about 110 million people—drink it every single day. For some, coffee is an essential part of their morning ritual. For others, it’s something they enjoy when they hit the proverbial wall in the late afternoon. But either way, millions of people use coffee to boost energy, focus, and productivity.

Unfortunately, like most good things in life, coffee can have a downside. For example, most mass-marketed coffee is pretty terrible for the environment and the local farming communities that produce it. Most mass-marketed coffee also has a negative impact on your physical health. And half the time, it doesn’t even taste that good.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. Coffee can be better. And over the last few years, progressive companies like Lifeboost Coffee have been working hard to transform the coffee industry, making better-tasting coffee that’s good for the planet and the people who drink it.

If you’re a coffee lover looking for a healthier, more sustainable way to get your fix, then you need to keep reading.

Why Better Coffee Matters

People love coffee because it tastes good and wards off drowsiness. But most coffee is also pretty acidic. And over time, this acidity can take a toll on your health, aggravating conditions like acid reflux, gastric ulcers, and irritable bowel syndrome, and causing dental problems such as enamel erosion and tooth sensitivity.

But as bad as some coffee can be for you, it can be even worse for the environment and the people who grow it. Mass-produced coffee wastes tons of fresh water, creates tons of pollution, and destroys untold acres of the planet’s most densely populated rainforest ecosystems. On top of all that, the people who grow the beans don’t get paid very well, which causes poverty and other numerous social problems in coffee-growing communities around the world.

Want to do your part to make the coffee industry better? Then consider getting your coffee from companies like Lifeboost Coffee, which was specifically founded to create a delicious coffee that is good for everybody—good for you, good for the planet, and good for the people who produce it.

Say Hello To Lifeboost

Lifeboost Coffee only uses beans that are certified USDA organic, non-GMO, and third-party tested for harmful fungi and over 400 other toxins. They also use a roasting process that produces low-acid coffee that’s easier on your teeth and stomach. And because beans are only harvested when fully mature, Lifeboost coffee always contains maximum amounts of beneficial minerals and antioxidants.

On the environmental side, Lifeboost Coffee only uses shade-grown beans produced by single-origin farms that use sustainable farming practices. The company also donates a percentage of its profits to protect the ecosystems, habitats, and wildlife in their coffee regions. Meanwhile, on the human side, all Lifeboost coffees are certified fairly traded. That means the farmers who produce the beans get fair wages so they can support their families and build stronger communities.

Subscribe And Save

Whether you’re looking for ground or whole bean, light roast or dark roast, flavored or unflavored, regular or decaf, Lifeboost Coffee has a wide variety of delicious coffee. And while you can save money by buying more than one bag at a time, you can save even more with a coffee subscription.

Worried you won’t actually use all the coffee you get when you subscribe? Don’t be. With a Lifeboost subscription, you can choose how much coffee you get and how often you get it. So whether you want six bags every two weeks or two bags every six weeks, with a Lifeboost subscription, you get precisely the amount of coffee you want. And can cancel or tweak your subscription anytime, no questions asked.

If you’re looking for small things you can do to make the world a better place, drinking healthier, more sustainable coffee is a good place to start. And right now, nobody makes healthy, sustainable coffee better than Lifeboost. So click here and up your coffee game today.

Wisin Y Yandel And Grupo Firme To Headline The 2023 Sueños Festival

Last year was the first annual Sueños Festival. It was hard to beat with headliners like J Balvin, Ozuna, and Wisin y Yandel. Taking place at Chicago’s Grant Park, Mayor Lori E. Tickets are available for early access on Thursday, February 2 on their site.

In a 2022 interview with the founder of Sueños Festival, Aaron Ampudia, he discussed his objective of the project: “I feel super proud to be able to put on a Latin festival like Sueños in Chicago for all the Latinos and everyone else who enjoys our culture and music,” he said. “To my knowledge, Chicago has not seen anything like this in the Latin space yet, so it’s an honor to make this one happen with all our partners.
