Is Oasis Going On A Reunion Tour?

Oasis fans have been holding out hope for quite a while regarding the possibility of a reunion tour. Over the past year or so, it has seemed perhaps more likely that the Gallagher brothers would put the fighting aside for the music.

However, today, Liam Gallagher announced that he’ll be honoring the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut Definitely Maybe album by doing a solo tour — without his brother Noel.

The anniversary tour will take place next summer across the UK and Ireland, and fans can expect to hear the record in full — making it still a special experience.

“I’m bouncing around the house to announce the Definitely Maybe tour,” Liam Gallagher said, according to The Independent. “I wouldn’t be anywhere without [the album] and neither would you, so let’s celebrate together LG x.”

Tickets for Liam Gallagher’s Definitely Maybe anniversary tour go on sale this Friday, October 20 at 9 a.m. local time, with some dates offering presales earlier throughout the week. Continue scrolling for a complete list of dates, with more information available here.

Here Are The New Voices Of Rick And Morty (And Mr. Poopybutthole)

Meet the new voice of Mr. Poopybutthole. And Rick and Morty.

The opening credits for the Rick and Morty season seven premiere revealed that Ian Cardoni is the new voice of Rick, while Harry Belden took over as Morty. “Ian was one of the first people I heard when the search began; he was in first wave: ‘Mark that guy, he’s got major flashes of Rick,’ which was awesome. We found Harry a lot later. They just stood out,” showrunner Scott Marder told the Hollywood Reporter. It took six months and thousands of auditions for Marder, co-creator Dan Harmon, and the rest of the creative team to find their guys, but they nailed it: the transition is seamless.

As for Mr. Poopybutthole:

“We are happy for them to take on more of these smaller characters. In the time crunch we were in, it was a lot to ask either of them to fully take on Poopy as well because it’s the most expanded role Poopy has had. We ultimately found another guy, John Allen, who came in late in the game. He took pressure off of Ian and Harry who were both working on Poopy but it felt like too much for either of them to be doing him in an episode of the show that they had to completely re-do.”

The original Rick and Morty voice, co-creator Justin Roiland, was fired from the animated series by Adult Swim, as well as Hulu, after he was charged with domestic battery (the charges were later dropped). It was later reported that he allegedly used to his fame to pursue fans, some as young as 16 years old.

In As Close To An Oasis Reunion As We’re Likely To Get, Liam Gallagher Is Celebrating The Band’s Debut With An Anniversary Tour

For years now, Oasis fans have been clamoring for the band to reunite, but given the ever-present tension between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, a comeback doesn’t necessarily seem likely. Perhaps the next best thing is coming soon, though: Today (October 15), Liam announced that he’s celebrating the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe, Oasis’ 1994 debut album, by taking it on tour.

The tour runs throughout June 2024 and includes shows in the UK and Ireland. Dates for the US and other countries have not been announced. Gallagher says he’s performing the album in full, along with “select B-sides from the era.”

It doesn’t appear that Noel will be involved with the tour, but as The Guardian notes, co-founding Oasis member Paul Arthurs (also known as Bonehead) will likely join, as he tours as part of Liam’s band.

Watch the trailer for the tour above and check out the tour dates below. Find more information about tickets here.

Drake’s 6-Year-Old Son Adonis Now Has His Own Full Song, ‘My Man Freestyle,’ And He Balls Out In The Video

When Drake released his new album For All The Dogs earlier this month, one featured guest in particular made waves: Adonis Graham, Drake’s son (who turned 6 years old a few days ago). He had a quick verse featured at the end of the song “Daylight,” but now it turns out that it was actually part of a full song: Yesterday (October 15), the complete song, dubbed “My Man Freestyle,” was released in full, credited to Adonis.

Drake dropped a video for the track and it features Adonis and some friends playing basketball. There’s also a part in the middle of the song where Adonis, taking on the role of coach, addresses his pals and offers instruction on how to up their game. Drake makes a quick appearance in the visual, as does Toronto Raptors rookie Gradey Dick, but the focus is all on Adonis.

As for the song’s lyrics, they’re not bad for a freestyle from a 6-year-old! Choice excerpts include, “I was waiting for this moment to arrive / I was driving in the car and I mash my car / I was playing on my iPad and I broke my iPad / I am going to my house, see my dad / I am saying hi to my dad and I have to go change / I’m playing basketball,” and, “You don’t want to eat a lollipop / I don’t know who sells ice pops / I don’t know who sells lollipops / I don’t know who sells lollipops / Go ask to a cloud, I don’t know / Go ask to a cloud, I don’t know / You can go ask somebody else / I do not have the skills for it / I just have the skills for the basketball game / Or the soccer game, or the tennis game, or the golf game.”

The Bills Escaped With A Win Over The Giants On A Last Play Drop In The End Zone (And Uncalled DPI)

The Buffalo Bills were more than two touchdown favorites on Sunday night against the Daniel Jones-less New York Giants, but found themselves needing a goal line stand at the end of the game to escape with a win and move to 5-1 on the season.

After Josh Allen drove the Bills down for a go-ahead score on a preposterous throw to Quintin Morris, the Giants got to midfield and stalled out, failing on a fourth down play. However, the defense bowed up and forced a long field goal attempt from the Bills on the ensuing possession, with Tyler Bass missing wide right to leave the door open.

Tyrod Taylor led the Giants down deep into Bills territory with some short passes and a dicey scramble, with the last gasp pass to the end zone falling incomplete but Darren Waller drawing a pass interference penalty. That set up an untimed down from the 1 for the win, which brought back flashbacks from the end of the first half when Saquon Barkley got stuffed on the one with no timeouts left and the clock ran out without New York scoring any points.

This time, the Giants threw it up to Darren Waller, but the ball bounced off his hand to the turf thanks to what Bills fans will call great coverage from Taron Johnson and Giants (and most impartial observers) will call interference as Johnson had a fist full of jersey as Waller went up for the ball.

The reverse angle shows how close Waller was to an outrageous one-handed grab, as well as why that left hand could never get up to the ball to complete the catch.

To be clear, all a PI call would’ve done is set New York up for a third crack at a 1-yard score in a game they were 0-for-2, so it’s not a guarantee it would’ve resulted in a win. Still, it’s a tough way to lose and those two possessions ending on the 1 with no points to end both halves will stick with Brian Daboll and the Giants for awhile, as they had a chance to pull off a massive upset but just could not execute in the two biggest moments of the game.

5 years’ worth of photos show how testosterone affected one person’s life.

Even though he was born “Katherine Elizabeth,” Skylar lived like a regular little boy for most of his childhood.

He was happy.

This is Skylar.

But when puberty hit, he started feeling intense pressure to be “normal” and fit in. So he tried to present as more traditionally “feminine.”

But he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was denying a huge part of himself. Late in high school, he started taking testosterone.

Skylar started feeling more comfortable immediately. And before he knew it, he was at his “dream school,” having the time of his life. And taking lots and lots of pictures of himself.

Access to medical care played a big part in Skylar becoming the person he is today, but that wasn’t all.

Bob Myers Explained Why The Warriors Extension Talks With Klay Thompson Can’t Be ‘Just Business’

With Draymond Green getting a new 4-year, $100 million contract this summer and Stephen Curry in the second year of his 4-year extension, the last member of the Warriors’ long-time core without a long-term deal is Klay Thompson.

The sharp-shooting wing is extension eligible right now, as he’ll get set to begin the last year of his current deal when the season begins in just over a week, but he and the Warriors are reportedly no closer to a deal than when talks began. On Sunday night, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported talks haven’t advanced at all and the two parties aren’t close on years or dollars, which isn’t a great sign for a deal getting done. Also on the NBA Countdown desk alongside Woj on Sunday night was former Warriors GM Bob Myers, who was the perfect person to turn to and ask what these talks are going to be like.

Myers joked this exact scenario was why he left before detailing why these conversations with a player like Thompson can’t be “just business,” despite what ownership and the front office might want folks to believe.

“Well this is why I left, first of all,” Myers said. “Look, a lot of times people will say ‘it’s just business,’ but this is not a ‘just business’ situation. There’s going to be a statue of this player outside of Chase Center. He was instrumental in bringing four championships. He’s beloved inside the organization and in the fan base. So it’s not so simple as money and years. This is why it was hard for me, Malika, you get relationships with these people, especially if you succeed with them. And that core has been together for 12 years, and that’s so rare now. That just doesn’t happen. So this is a delicate negotiation. From what I know and see, he wants to stay. They want him to stay. Doesn’t mean it’ll happen. But it is a test. It’s certainly a test like Woj said, and it’s the first real test.”

Myers was rather famously one of the most outwardly emotional general managers in basketball, and so it’s not a surprise for him to be willing to highlight the difficulty of navigating this kind of negotiation — and I also don’t think it was 100 percent a joke when he said this is why he left. On the free agent market, Thompson will be given a value based on what he can provide during the years he’ll sign for, but in Golden State, there is a bit of an expectation for him to be paid also for what he’s provided over the last decade plus (and reasonably so). That is the difficulty in this negotiation, where Thompson wants to be taken care of long-term while the organization can’t help itself but to think about future flexibility. It’ll be fascinating to see if they let this get to free agency to let the market dictate his value and risk losing him, or if they’ll maybe pay a bit more than they want to in order to keep Thompson in good spirits and avoid this lingering throughout the season.

The Jets Stunned The Eagles After A Horrific Late Jalen Hurts Interception Set Up The Game-Winning Score

The Philadelphia Eagles came into Sunday as the last remaining unbeaten in the NFL at 5-0, but while their record was unblemished, they have not looked quite as dominant as many expected coming off of a trip to the Super Bowl last year.

Even so, they were healthy favorites on the road against the New York Jets, but Jalen Hurts had some real struggles with a very good Jets defense and in the fourth quarter things were tense with a 14-12 Philly lead. After moving the ball out near midfield, the Eagles came out of the two-minute warning facing a 3rd-and-9 with the Jets out of timeouts. A first down would end the game, but even if forced to punt, they would’ve forced Zach Wilson to lead a likely long field goal drive with inside two minutes to go.

Instead, Jalen Hurts fired his third interception of the game and one of the worst of his career when he drifted back and tossed one right to Tony Adams, who broke on the ball and returned it deep into Eagles territory.

It was a truly awful decision by Hurts, who must have not seen Adams lurking to the inside of his intended target, and it set up the go-ahead touchdown from Breece Hall — with Philly wisely just letting him score to preserve their two timeouts and over 1:45 on the clock.

A two-point conversion made it 20-14 Jets, but they would need another stop against Hurts and the Philly offense. After flying to the football for a few excellent open field tackles and pass breakups, they forced a 4th and 9 with Hurts chucking one up into double coverage, likely hoping for a flag as much as anything, but the ball got nearly picked before falling to the turf with no laundry on the field.

With the win, the Jets got back to a .500 record and their defense looks every bit of being the real deal. Wilson and the offense are moving the ball a bit better, but continued their red zone struggles until the very end when Philly was happy to escort Hall into the end zone. It’s the second contender taken down by the Jets this season, as they also beat the Bills to open the year, and if they can get anything positive offensively, they’ll have a chance in most games.

For the Eagles it was not their first sloppy performance of the year, but the first one that caught up to them in the form of a loss and now they’ll be back to the drawing board trying to clean things up going forward. Down in Miami, that sound you hear is Mercury Morris and the 1972 Dolphins popping champagne as their record as the NFL’s lone perfect season is safe for one more year.

Noted Trump Hater Robert De Niro Is Now Comparing The Former President To An ‘Abusive Parent’

Usually in interviews Robert De Niro is a reserved, quiet guy. Get him talking about Donald Trump, and hoo boy. The legendary actor has been on the press trail talking up Killers of the Flower Moon, his 10th film with Martin Scorsese. This coincides with the third presidential campaign of a guy he’s called a “pig” and a “bullsh*t artist” whom he’s wanted to see hit with a “bag of sh*t.” He doesn’t much care for his “stupid” supporters either. While recently chatting with The Guardian, De Niro went a bit longer about his hatred of the GOP’s current prized stallion.

“I see the phenomenon of Trump, the phenomenon of people not standing up to him, people who ought to know better,” De Niro told the outlet. “They’re causing great concern in the country and a lot of anxiety. I feel like since he’s come on the scene – even after being president – it’s like when an abusive parent rules a household, only it’s not just one household it’s the whole country.”

Trump came up a lot during the interview, which concerns De Niro’s role as a charming businessman who may be behind a spate of murders involving the nouveau riche members of the Osage tribe in Oklahoma a century ago. During a press conference before the one-on-one, De Niro went so far as to compare the character he plays the 45th president: two entitled greed monsters who cloak their racism and disregard for anyone outside their blood line in a kindly faux-benevolence.

De Niro also doesn’t think Trump will magically become any kind of beacon for the nation if allowed back at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

“One of the main tasks of being a leader, the responsibility, is to lead,” he said. “Even when the masses are turning in a certain the direction, you have to show them the right way. And that comes down to personal integrity, what you know is right and what you know to be wrong, what you stand for.”

But Trump, De Niro says, doesn’t want to lead. He’s just “doing whatever he can to be the boss,” adding, “He just wants to be in charge. He has no moral center.”

When the interviewer points out that De Niro, usually so collected, gets so worked up when talking Trump, he responded this way:

“It upsets me so much that somebody like him could get so far in our political system … Many New Yorkers were on to what a fool he is, a joke. But when the country started buying it? I mean, he didn’t win by much. He didn’t win the popular vote. She won. But look what happened. What’s scary is it’s such a fragile thing, to swing like that. And the odd thing about Trump is that if he had any brains he could have become president again. But he doesn’t care. He did stupid things. He’s not somebody who should ever be allowed close to leadership in this country again.”

De Niro lamented all the attention Trump gets, though he gets it, saying, “it’s like watching a train wreck. You’re fascinated by it.” He then predicted Trump’s inglorious future. “What will eventually happen is he will die away. He’ll become not even an afterthought. It’s like the pandemic. We had it. Now people are forgetting. And it was only three years ago.”

Killers of the Flower Moon hits theaters on October 20.
