Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’: Here Are All The Features And Producers On The Album

The journey toward Drake’s For All The Dogs lasted a bit longer than expected. After announcing it over the summer during his It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage, rumor had it that the project would initially arrive on August 25. However, that day came and went without its release and Lil Yachty blamed fans for believing a date that was not announced by Drake himself. Well, Drake later announced an official release date of September 22 for For All The Dogs, but he was later forced to delay it to October 6, in order to complete the project and not cancel any tour dates to do so.

At long last, as promised, Drake delivered For All The Dogs on October 6. It was made available to stream at 6am EST as opposed to the traditional time of 12am EST, but nonetheless, the album is here. It features 23 songs and appearances from Teezo Touchdown, 21 Savage, J. Cole, Yeat, Snoop Dogg, SZA (two times), JeRonelle, PartyNextDoor, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny, Sexyy Redd, and Lil Yachty.

Janelle Monáe, Latto, And Quavo Are On Their ‘Champagne Sh*t’ On The Song’s New ATL Remix

Janelle Monáe‘s world takeover continues. Tonight (October 6), the illustrious musician has shared a remix to a fan favorite from her fourth studio album, The Age Of Pleasure.

On a special ATL remix to “Champagne Sh*t,” Monáe joins forces with fellow Atlanta rap stars, Latto and Quavo. Throughout the course of the song, the three are in triumphant spirits, as they toast to their wins.

Monáe’s first verse and chorus remain the same as those on the original album version, with Quavo and Latto adding even more southern flair.

“We gon’ drink ’til we faint now it’s tasting like water / Proud of the times when we came from the bottom / Right now I’m hot, it’s time to go harder / How we keep winnin’, because I’m a starter,” raps Quavo on his triumphant verse.

Having been killing the rap game and maintaining a consistent flow of features and hits, Latto enjoys the fruits of her labor.

“College girl I’m tryna pay your tuition / Red bone kissing, casamigos pissin / Trying go home to the D like a piston,” she raps, reminding us that she’s got the game on lock.

It’s Just ‘You & Me’ On Jennie Of Blackpink’s New Solo Single

Blackpink has become one of the biggest names in K-Pop over the past five years. Perhaps this is largely in part to the group’s star power both as a collective and as individual artists. Tonight (October 6) Jennie is the latest member of the group to drop solo music — with her new single “You & Me.”

On “You & Me,” Jennie has found a joyous new love, and ravels in the solace she finds when the two of them are together. Pulsating bass beats imitate the sound of a heartbeat, as she can’t deny the euphoria she feels.

“I love you and me dancing in the moonlight / Nobody can see, it’s just you and me tonight,” she sings on the song’s chorus.

The song marks Jennie’s first solo drop since 2018, her last single appropriately titled “Solo.” She has previously performed the song on Blackpink’s Born Pink tour, which took place over the course of the past year. Despite only getting a formal release just now — a year after she first performed it — the song has been a fan favorite among the Blinks.

Now, fans can finally listen to “You & Me,” as Jennie kicks off a promising new solo era.

Noah Kahan And Kacey Musgraves Make A Pleasant Connection On Their New Duet, ‘She Calls Me Back’

Noah Kahan has been killing it with collabs this summer. Over the course of the past few months, he’s released songs with the likes of Post Malone and Lizzie McAlpine. Tonight (October 6), Kahan has another promising duet on his hands — this time, with Kacey Musgraves.

The two artists have collaborated on a new version of “She Calls Me Back,” a fan favorite from Kahan’s 2022 album, Stick Season. On this song, two lovers reconnect briefly, finding joy in their rekindled friendship.

“Lost for a long time / Two parallel lines / Everything’s alright when she calls me back,” sings Kahan on the song’s chorus.

On her verse, Musgraves assures the man that while she has accepted that their past love is over, she still is happy to talk with him from time-to-time, while setting healthy boundaries.

“If you think that you could wake me up / Then you don’t know how well I’ll sleep / You love me and I don’t know why / I only call you once a week,” she sings.

With this updated version of “She Calls Me Back,” as well as his other collaborations, Kahan continues to demonstrate his versatility, as well as showcase his unmatched songwriting abilities.

These before-and-afters will make you question everything about how our economy works

Images via GooBingDetroit.

Yup. These images were taken only two years apart. And what you’re seeing was not an accident.

When the economy crashed in 2008, it was because of shady financial practices like predatory lending and speculative investing, which is basically gambling, only the entire economy was at stake.

When the recession hit, it literally hit home for millions of people. And Detroit was right in the middle of it.

I spoke with Alex Alsup, who works with a Detroit-based tech company that’s mapping the city’s foreclosed homes to help city officials see the bigger picture and find solutions. He also runs the Tumblr GooBingDetroit, where he uses Google Street View’s time machine to document the transformation of Detroit’s neighborhoods over the last few years.

“There’s a common sentiment that Detroit’s looked the way it does for decades, but it’s just not true,” Alsup said.

It’s astonishing to see how quickly so many homes went from seemingly delightful to wholly unlivable.

When the recession went into full force, home values took a nosedive. But the city expected homeowners to pay property taxes as if they hadn’t.

Not only does the situation defy logic, but it’s like a brass-knuckled face punch to the people the city is supposed to be looking out for. Alsup explains:

“You had houses — tens of thousands of them — that were worth only $20,000 or so, yet owed $4,000 a year in taxes, for which very few city services were delivered (e.g. police, fire, roads, schools). Who would pay that?”

Indeed.

A local group calls what happened to Detroit a “hurricane without water.”

And like a real hurricane, homeowners aren’t the ones to blame. They’re even calling for what is essentially a federal disaster response.

Here are the three strategies they want to see in action — and they can work for basically anywhere in the country that’s struggling with a housing crisis.

1. Stop kicking people out of their homes.

They want the city to end foreclosures and evictions from owner-occupied homes. Many people aren’t just losing their homes — they’ve lost jobs, pensions, and services because of budget cuts. Putting them on the street is like a kick in the teeth when they’re down.

2. If a home is worth less on the market than what the homeowner owes on their loan, reduce what they owe.

Those are called underwater mortgages. Banks caused this mess, and governments ignored it. It’s only fair that people’s mortgages be adjusted based the current value of their home.

3. Sell repossessed homes at fair prices to people who actually want to live in them.

Selling to banks and investors only encourages what led to the financial crisis in the first place. Wouldn’t it make more sense to sell to people who are going to live in them and have a genuine interest in rebuilding the community?

Housing is a human right. And an economy based on financial markets doesn’t care about human rights. Maybe it’s time for a new economy?

Megan Thee Stallion Leads A Mission To Dismantle The Patriarchy On ‘Out Alpha The Alpha’ From ‘D*cks: The Musical’

A24’s first-ever movie-musical, D*cks: The Musical has shown to be one of the buzziest of the year. An early review of the film by Vanity Fair described the films songs as “legitimate toe-tappers.” Tonight (October 6), Megan Thee Stallion has shared with us the latest taste of the film’s promising cast recording — a women-empowering anthem called “Out Alpha The Alpha.”

On “Out Alpha The Alpha,” a song sung from the perspective of Meg’s movie character Gloria Masters, she assembles an all-women militia to dismantle the patriarchy, pushing all male citizens aside as the women take over.

“They say, ‘Boys will be boys,’ man, what a crock of sh*t / These men, they hold all the cards, it makes me wanna sp*t / They always f*ckin’ sh*t up, they’re always makin’ a mess / But I’ma tell you the secret to my success,” raps Meg on the song’s opening verse, before she is joined by a triumphant choir, as they slay a male-dominated workforce.

You can listen to “Out Alpha The Alpha” above.

D*cks: The Musical is in select theaters now, and premieres nationwide 10/20.

Living on a cruise ship just became a real option thanks to a new ‘residential’ cruise line

Imagine spending every day exploring wondrous locations, eating expertly crafted meals, enjoying year-round indulgence … could there be anything better?

Taking a lifelong cruise might sound like something out of a dream, and an unrealistic one at that. But leaving the land behind and adopting a seafaring lifestyle is now more attainable than ever.

By 2024, cruise line Storylines will launch a 741-foot ship dubbed the MV Narrative, a huge vessel containing 547 fully furnished rooms available for purchase or lease.

The cruise will definitely be the stuff of luxury, with its high-end spas, movie theater, yoga sun deck, state-of-the-art fitness center, art studio … it even has a bowling alley, for crying out loud. But being a “residential community at sea,” there will also be things like a library, post office, school and bank.

Perhaps the funnest part—in addition to extended stays in exotic locations—residents will have a say in where the vessel goes. “What a typical cruise line might do in one month or three weeks, we will take three to four months to do,” Storylines founder and CEO Alister Punton told CNN Travel, adding that the residents “have opportunities to have input into where the ship goes next.” These “residents choice” days allow those on board to choose the ports of call.

Is MV Narrative the only residential ship to sail the seven seas? No. The World has offered residential living since 2002, according to The Real Deal. Other lines, like Utopia and Victoria Cruises, also offer an all-inclusive lifestyle.

However, it could be the most eco-friendly. Travel and Leisure noted that the ship will run on clean-burning liquid gas and have a zero-waste farmers market selling local products. “We will definitely be the greenest cruise ship out there,” Punton shared with CNN Travel.

Travel and Leisure states the MV Narrative’s current listing price range from $1 million to $8 million to own, with a small number of 24-year leases available from $600,000, which works out to around $25,000 per year.

Of course, if you were to forgo any homeownership and chose instead to live the life of a nomad, a lifelong cruise could be an even cheaper and more accessible option. Earlier this year, retired couple Angelyn and Richard Burk made headlines by fulfilling their travel dreams of hopping from ship to ship … all for around $36,000. Yep, less than an average mortgage. It’s no wonder why this is such a popular trend for adventurous folks of retirement age.

This might be because people are attracted to having both adventure and the comfort of home, which Storylines provides. “At the end of a long day discovering a new exotic location, they can come home to friends and familiar surroundings and sleep in their own bed,” Storylines co-founder, Shannon Lee, wrote in an email to Travel and Leisure.

What a time to be alive, when you can travel the world and never leave home.

These doggies’ faces completely change after hearing ‘good boy,’ and it’s so stinking cute

A TikTokker named Peli Roja (redhead in Spanish) runs a doggie daycare in the Boston, Massachusetts, area where she cares for an adorable group of four-legged friends. Her super-sweet videos have earned her nearly 350,000 followers, and a recent video is so sweet it’s received over 13 million views.

In the video, the dogs dramatically change their facial expressions after being told they’re a “good boy.” They go from having resting dog faces to appearing to be proud and happy. The video has undoubtedly brought smiles to millions of human faces, and it’s a great reminder to tell your dog they’re a “good boy” or “good girl” whenever you can.

The clip comes with a caption that reads: “Puppies before and after being told that they’re a good boy/girl.”

While some might say that the dog’s response just mirrors the human’s excitement, studies show that dogs understand when we praise them. Scientists in Hungary did MRI scans on dogs and then played their owners praising them or using neutral terms, and the dogs could tell the difference.

The implication is that dogs may be able to understand what we say and not just how we say it.

The study “shows that dogs are capable of identifying strings of phonemes that form meaningful speech commands, rather than solely relying on the command’s intonation,” David Reby, a psychologist at the University of Sussex, told Smithsonian. “It does not, however, mean that dogs are capable of understanding human language.”

Drake‘s eighth studio album, For All The Dogs is almost here. He is dropping the anticipated album tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. EST with very little promotion — only a slight tease in his poetry book and a reveal of the album artwork drawn by his son, Adonis. GloRilla Revealed That She Was Fired From Nike After Singing A Beyoncé Deep Cut On The Job

Last year, GloRilla‘s life changed after years of putting in hard work. Before making a breakthrough with hits like “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow 2,” she worked various part-time jobs. However, she admitted that those jobs didn’t always work out.

In an interview with HipHopDX taken at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards, the Memphis rapper revealed that she once got fired from a job for singing a deep cut by one of her favorite artists.

Glo shared that she worked at Amazon, Walmart, and Nike, but her first love was always music. She always had fun on the job, however, Glo noted that having fun while working these gigs would often result in her getting fired.

“Me and my friend, [rapper] Gloss Up, we were singin’ a Beyoncé song and we got fired from Nike,” she said.

The song in question was “Dance For You” from Bey’s 2011 album, 4. And while she may have gotten terminated from the job, it wasn’t a total L for Glo. Elsewhere in the interview, she revealed that she attended three shows on Beyoncé’s critically-acclaimed Renaissance World Tour this year.

It’s safe to say that Glo’s pre-fame work experiences didn’t break her soul.

You can see the interview above.
