Last night (July 14), Drake brought the It’s All A Blur Tour> to the Bell Centre in Montreal. Though 21 Savage was notably absent, Drake still had plenty of surprises for fans.

One of them being an appearance by collaborator and longtime friend, rapper J Cole. Cole walked through the crowd wearing a yellow shirt that read “The game has changed, you have been warned.”

Cole later arrived to the stage, where he performed his 2014 hit “No Role Modelz” alongside Drake.

Back in April, the two performed a special set at Cole’s Dreamville Festival 2023 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

At one of Cole’s shows in Miami back in 2021, Drake made a surprise appearance, where he performed three songs from his Certified Lover Boy album, where he told Cole “You are genuinely, without a doubt, one of the greatest rappers to ever touch a mic.”

Though the two rappers’ friendship goes back over a decade, the two have only released a handful of collabs — including 2010’s “In The Morning” and 2013’s “Jodeci Freestyle.” They have, however, loaned each other beats for their projects, and have brought each other out on stage over the years.

Beastie Boys will be honoring the 25th anniversary of their Hello Nasty album with a special 4xLP deluxe reissue of the record. The version was originally released in limited qualities back in 2009, but has since been sought after, according to a press release.

It features 21 bonus tracks, with rarities, b-sides, and remixes included. Upon the original Hello Nasty release in 1998, it sold nearly 700,000 copies in the first week.

Beyoncé took to Instagram to share some new pictures from the Brooklyn Public Library’s opening night event for their new Jay-Z-themed exhibit. In the first picture of the slideshow, she posed with a “The Book Of HOV” blue book (named after Jay’s exhibit) — as she stands in the middle of the library stacks.

After a few other selfies, including one where she shows off a sparkly earring, Beyoncé poses with Jay-Z in what appears to be the elevator of the library.

Her daughter, Blue Ivy, was also in attendance. She rocked a blue dress and some sunglasses.

Finally, Beyoncé added some inside glimpses of The Book Of HOV exhibit — between old tour lanyards from the rapper and throwback photos on a wall.

According to Billboard, the Brooklyn Public Library’s The Book Of HOV exhibition includes “archived objects, including original recording masters, never-before-seen photos, iconic stage wear, prestigious awards, and recognitions, as well as videos and artifacts from every facet of Jay-Z’s professional life.”

“We are proud to celebrate his mastery of music, poetry, the written word, and the oral tradition, and we hope the exhibit will inspire visitors to bet on themselves and pursue their own dreams, musical or otherwise,” Linda Johnson, the library’s CEO, also told the publication.

A year after Shakira split from Gerard Piqué over alleged infidelity on his part, which resulted in her diss track collab with Bizarrap, it appears she might be getting back into dating.

According to a source who spoke to US Weekly, Shakira has reportedly been seeing Miami Heat basketball player Jimmy Butler. “They have been out a few times, but things are very new and it’s too early to tell if there’s long-term potential there,” the source told the publication.

“Jimmy makes Shakira smile, and she feels happy spending time with him,” they added.

The source also said that Shakira and Butler just started following each other on social media. And the timeline does appear to add up. Shakira had been spotted at a Miami game back in May and Butler has since liked her posts, the publication claims.

They also note that Shakira isn’t bothered by the age difference between her and Butler, which is thirteen years apart.

Before Butler, Shakira had also reportedly been linked to both Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton and actor Tom Cruise. Just a few days earlier, Shakira reportedly celebrated Hamilton winning third place at the British Grand Prix, as The Mirror claimed they had been spotted at a London club.

Haim recently opened up to NME about their experience playing on tour with Julian Casablancas, in honor of the band’s debut album, Days Are Gone, turning ten this year.

Danielle Haim had first started by backing Casablancas on his solo tour in 2009 and 2010, per the publication.

“That was a dream come true to be playing in his band,” Danielle shared.

She had been discovered while playing with Jenny Lewis at a New York show, according to a 2013 profile in The Guardian. After earning money by playing as a trio at Este Haim’s university, they took it to join Casablancas as the opening act too.

“Julian was the first person to take us on tour. I was 18 which was crazy,” Alana Haim told NME.

“Playing with Julian also taught us so much and taught me so much. Getting to play some Strokes songs in the set like ‘Automatic Stop’ I couldn’t believe it. I was up there like I can’t believe this is my life,” Danielle added.

“We were in the crowd like ‘We can’t believe that’s our sister!’” Este shared.

Along with the anniversary interview, Haim recently announced some other surprises tied to Days Are Gone — including a limited-edition reissue on green vinyl and a surprise show where they’ll play the record in full.

Dogs have pretty big personalities, and it seems like some just may have enough to share. There are dogs that enjoy dressing up in cute clothes and others that like to pretend all four of their legs are broken when it’s time to take a walk. Then there are dogs like Nilla, who thinks anytime she sees her mom getting ready for the day, she also has to get a full face of makeup to start her day, too.

Cierra adopted Nilla when she was just a puppy, and they’ve become best friends who do lots of things together. One of those things is getting ready in the morning. While Cierra stands in front of her bathroom mirror to apply her makeup, Nilla will whine and bark at her mom, who is clearly hogging the blush.

It doesn’t take long before Cierra gives in to the dog’s demands and starts giving Nilla a full face of makeup. After all, dogs have to look beautiful as well.

Nilla sits patiently as her mom “applies” mascara and eyebrow pencil to her face. But as soon as Cierra takes too long with another product, Nilla is back to scolding her mom with high-pitched barks. Before long, the pittie is decked out with concealer, blush, highlighter and lipstick. Of course, none of this is actually applied to the dog’s face, but she doesn’t realize her mom is just pretending. In her mind, she’s red carpet ready when Cierra is done with the puppy makeover.

“I bend down and pretend that I’m doing her makeup,” Cierra told The Dodo. “I’ll grab a beauty blender and do it on her cheeks. I did the blow dryer and then I did some concealer.”

Nilla even gets fancy setting spray, and while she does try to eat the blush brush, she’s a pretty good makeover candidate. You can watch her whole beautiful and amusing transformation below.

Taylor Swift might be bringing her Eras Tour to Denver tonight, but that isn’t stopping her from telling fans in Nashville to get out and vote in their election. Swift, who posed with an “I Voted Today” sticker, seemingly was in town earlier today — purely to cast hers.

“Hi Nashville! Early voting for our city officials and some statewide seats begins today,” she wrote. “We have the opportunity to choose those who will represent us for the next four years.”

“I voted today and I urge each and every one of you to do the same and make your voice heard,” Swift added, along with a link to Vote.org.

Over the past few years, Swift has become more vocal about the importance of voting and using social media to encourage the fanbase to participate in both local and national elections.

“In the past, I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now,” she shared back in 2018. “I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country.”

Trippie Redd has officially announced that his next album, A Love Letter To You 5, will be available for fans to listen starting next month. He had hinted at the project through his recent single, “Took My Breath Away,” which featured Skye Morales, as well as confirming the title earlier this year.

However, the surprises haven’t stopped there.

A few weeks after the record’s release, Trippie will perform across North America as part of his recently-announced Take Me Away Tour. Throughout the run, he will be joined by LUCKI, D.Savage, Ekkstacy, Jean Dawson, and K Sauve at select shows.

Drake‘s love of Kentucky men’s basketball is pretty well documented by this point. For years, Drake has made appearances in Lexington, like the time that he appeared at the team’s Big Blue Madness event and got to warm up with the rest of the roster, although he did find himself on the receiving end of some jokes due to a pretty ugly airball he launched from behind the three-point line.

Regardless, Drake and John Calipari’s squad are basically tied together at the hip at this point, and recently, this meant that the young men who suit up for the Wildcats got the chance to go hang out at Drake’s place. The Wildcats were greeted by a gigantic banner in front of the place and then got the chance to practice a bit on his basketball court.

Calipari, the longtime Kentucky coach, posted a video from Drake’s pool, confirming that they were, indeed, at Drake’s.

The Wildcats are in Toronto for Globl Jam, a tournament that features men’s and women’s teams from several different countries, with Kentucky basketball representing the United States. The team played against Canada on Thursday, and there is no word on who Drake wanted to win that game.

Bree Carter — Bree Carter

The burgeoning talent out of South Central, Los Angeles oozes charisma and confidence, with a brash delivery reminiscent of My Krazy Life-era YG. I can see her growing a sturdy fan base locally, especially with assistance on her debut tape from the likes of hometown hero RJMrLA.

J Hus — Beautiful And Brutal Yard

Sure, British artist J Hus drew plenty of attention ahead of the release of his latest project with his Drake collaboration “Who Told You,” but on this 19-track project, he proves more than capable of holding that attention — and paying it off. The tropical vibes combine with straightforward raps, reminding listeners that the diaspora is strong.

King Von — Grandson

One thing you have to admire about King Von’s estate — they know how to keep his posthumous releases true to Von’s defiant spirit. A big part of that is that they rarely reach beyond the city limits of his hometown for collaborations; G Herbo, Polo G, Tink, and Von’s label boss Lil Durk constitute the bulk, while fellow Midwesterners Tee Grizzley and 42 Dugg drop in. The outsiders — Moneybagg Yo, Hotboii, and burgeoning Brooklyn rapper BreezyLYN — all fit the tone, too.

Lil Tjay — 222

Lil Tjay drops his first album since being shot last year; the experience hasn’t dulled his edge. Tjay sounds more introspective here, which isn’t a bad thing at all. He still manages to puff his chest on tracks like “Bla Bla” with Fivio Foreign even so.

Wynne — Some Like It Hot

After a slow build that included some racy cover art and a timely lane shift, Portland rapper Wynne releases her latest project. Where prior EPs were aimed at proving her mic skills — which are considerable — here, she flaunts some sex appeal to show that she can serve it up, however you like.

Borrowing a familiar sample from Petey Pablo’s 2001 breakout hit “Raise Up,” BIA issues a never-ending stream of witty punchlines. It’s a departure that she has just enough charm to make work.

The 10 Summers rapper makes effective use of a beat from his label boss Mustard to puff his chest a bit, showing off his lady like a trophy. Hey, if they ain’t lookin’…
