Beyoncé might be in the midst of her Renaissance World Tour, but that hasn’t stopped her from expanding her business empire. The “Wait Let Me Fix My Hair” singer appears to be on the cusp of launching her latest endeavor, judging from a recent post on her Instagram account. In the post, a handwritten note recounts her early career experiences performing in her mother’s hair salon, which has her BeyHive buzzing, believing that the next industry Beyoncé intends to takeover is hair care.

“How many of y’all knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon?” she wrote. “Destiny’s Child got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done. I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in her salon. I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”

Because of the anecdote about her “hair journey,” Beyoncé fans on Twitter are sure that means she’s going to release either a line of hair care products or a line of wigs/hair for braiding/extensions/etc. “if beyoncé drops a hair line w wigs y’all are gonna hate who I become when I get a hold of one,” wrote one fan. “Okay let’s talk lace @beyonce,” joked another. “I would like a number of wigs and bundles. Give me some Bumble Bee Bundles pls.” Even more broke out the memes to express their excitement.

While some are skeptical, most are hoping that the new product lives up to the standards the singer has set with her music.

Fasten your seatbelts and make sure your hazards are on, because Fast X is on its way to a theater near you so that you and your loved ones can witness Jason Momoa wreaking havoc and taunting Vin Diesel on the big screen, which is something you’ve always wanted but never knew how to ask for.

But even though Fast X might seem like the final ride, probably because it was teased as such, fans are in for some more car shenanigans in the future. Oh? You thought they were done? That Dom Toretto would hang up his keys and trade in his car for an electric vehicle? He’s not one to be eco-conscious, even though he moonlights as a tree.

Diesel confirmed that this isn’t the final movie in the long-running franchise. In fact, there will be another part to Fast X. The actor told the crowd at CinemaCon last month, “This summer is only the beginning of Fast X. And with all of your effort and with all of your love and the fact that you are a part of our family, Fast X will continue. And after this explosive summer, I will have the privilege of coming to you for Part 2 in 2025.” This is a bad sign for anyone looking for a Hobbs & Shaw follow-up, but good news for everyone else.

The actor then said that he approached the studio about making the finale into a trilogy, though he didn’t provide any more details, probably thanks to attending the Marvel School Of Avoiding Press Questions.

It seems like Fast X is just the beginning of the next chapter in the Fast franchise, much like Marvel likes to have its movies in phases. Maybe Phase II of Fast will integrate more of the “furious” aspect of things. It seems like that side of the franchise has been left in the dust. The people want more fury with their gas-guzzlers!

Bummbershoot 2023 has made a few adjustments to its official lineup. To commemorate the arts and music festival’s 50th-anniversary, musicians Pussy Riot has been added to the celebration. Bumbershoot 2023 will be headlined by Sleater-Kinney (September 2), Brittany Howard (September 2), and The Revivalists (September 3) across the two-day event, marking its first showing since taking a hiatus due to the pandemic.

Set to go down at the Seattle Center this coming Labor Day weekend (September 2 and 3), the event presented by New Rising Sun and Third Stone focuses on highlighting talent from across the Pacific Northwest. Other notable acts slated to perform at the multiday festival include A-Trak, Zhu, AFI, Durand Jones, Jawbreaker, Fatboy Slim, Phantogram, Valerie June, and Benny The Butcher.

On the website, the event’s mission is listed as “to honor the essential characteristics of the festival’s rich legacy with a vision to realign with Seattle’s changing growth purpose and needs,” adding, “Artists shift perspectives, awaken curiosity and, in our shared passion for visual arts, performance, and music, help us realize we are all under the same umbrella.”

The (incredible) game hasn’t even been out for a week, but it’s reasonable to assume that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will go down as one of the best-selling video games of 2023, if not the best selling. Beginning earlier this month, searches for “zelda” on Pornhub were up 236 percent. By May 12th, the day Tears of the Kingdom came out, they were up 399 percent. And it just kept rising: according to Pornhub Insights, “that trend continued, with May 13th seeing an increase of +759 percent, followed by +1,362 percent on May 14th and a massive +1,477 percent increase on the 15th!” Pornhub visitors were horny for one character, in particular.

Our statisticians wanted to know how the Zelda universe impacted search terms between May 12th and 14th when compared to average. It seemed the character Purah was at the top of the list, as the term, “purah zelda” saw an enormous increase of +42,257 percent! Second to Purah was “legend of zelda rule 34” which saw an increase of +22,067 percent. Coming in third, “zelda botw paya” saw an increase of +7,938 percent

Also more popular than usual: “zelda cosplay,” “legend of zelda hentai,” and “legend of zelda rule 34.” (If you don’t know what “rule 34” is, you might be the one person who spends too little time online.) Meanwhile, the most searched for Zelda characters are Purah, Princess Zelda, Paya, and finally Link. What? No love for Bokoblins? Oh wait. They’re number nine.

The Walking Dead was no stranger to time jumps, and the same goes for Fear The Walking Dead. The eighth season picks up (with yet another reinvention) seven years after the last time we saw these long-suffering survivors. And they are not having a great time with PADRE at all. This so-called promised society turned out to be an authoritarian nightmare full of kidnapped children, and things are going especially bad for June these days.

As for Morgan, he continues to hang with PADRE so that he can be near his daughter, Mo. She’s older now, obviously, and has no idea who Morgan is, and one wonders if this time jump was specifically done to line up with The Walking Dead. That would make it awfully convenient for, as the trailer kind-of suggested, a potential Rick Grimes sighting to be afoot when Morgan goes home. When Entertainment Weekly quizzed showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg about whether the timeline alignment was purposeful, Chambliss explained that this was a “happy accident when we sat down and did the math.” Hmm:

“That wasn’t the driving force behind it. It was really kind of a happy accident when we sat down and did the math. And then there were also some other, practical reasons, too. The two-year-old who was playing Mo was growing up way too fast for us. [Laughs] She was much older by the end of season 7 than the character should have been. So we were able to then cast a really talented young actor like Zoey Merchant, who could really bring the character to life. That was one of the other factors that came into play.”

See, there’s no denial there of a Rick-Morgan reunion. Then again, we don’t really know when the Rick and Michonne spinoff occurs, but one would hope that Michonne didn’t have to search for Rick too long after finding his possessions. I also want Daryl to find a crossbow in France, though, and that’s actually higher on my priority list. Give Daryl a Vespa too, alright?

In honor of The Wonder Years‘ album The Greatest Generation celebrating its tenth anniversary, the band is blessing fans with a new surprise. They’ve officially dropped a new B-side “G*DDAMNITALL” and have announced that a limited-edition box set is on the way.

It will contain a 32-page booklet of unearthed “photos, stories, and essays” from various music writers. The box set also includes demos and voice recordings that were made during the album’s creation process.

“When it came time to find bonus content for this box set, we went grave digging in old hard-drives to find the demos from TGG that didn’t get finished and then exhumed and reanimated this one,” lead singer Dan Campbell shared in a statement. “It was the closest to being done at the time. All of the music was there. The chorus had lyrics and melody but, for budget and time constraints it got abandoned before it had verses and a bridge.”

“Now, a decade later, it’s finally finished. We asked Steve Evetts to produce it the same way he would have if it were on the original album and it now stands as a spiritual and somewhat literal b-side to The Greatest Generation,” he added.

Another day, another call for impeachment from Marjorie Taylor Greene. This time around the Georgia congressman is targeting Matthew Graves, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. His crime? Continuing to prosecute January 6 defendants who stormed the Capitol building in an effort to overturn the 2020 election for Donald Trump.

Greene also took issue with Graves declining to pursue charges against “67 percent of people arrested by D.C. police officers,” which the congresswoman called “absolutely criminal” before reaching for the impeachment button.

“The time for weaponizing the Department of Justice needs to come to an end. And because you refuse to prosecute real criminals that are violating all the crimes here in Washington, D.C., and you want to talk about D.C. residents — they are victims of your abuse of power,” she said. “And because of that, I am introducing articles of impeachment on you, Mr. Graves.”

As Graves explained to The Washington Post, the decision not to prosecute those arrested by D.C. cops is pretty standard. Not every infraction is serious, and Graves’s office is more concerned with violent felonies. There’s also the issue of officers failing to use their body cameras, which has led to cases not being pursued.

Of course, none of that matters to Greene, who was looking to score political points with yet another threat of impeachment. To put things into perspective, she’s already tried to impeach Joe Biden. It’s her go-t0 move, and Twitter had a field day with her latest attempt.

Country music’s favorite outlaw is heading to the big screen. Willie Nelson’s star-studded 90th birthday concert is set to grace a movie screen this summer. Presented in partnership with Blackbird Presents, Joe Hand Promotions, and Nelson’s manager Mark Rothbaum, Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90 will feature footage from the two-night show.

The film will show in select theaters beginning on June 11, with an encore presentation on June 13 and 14. Based on the epic live event originally held in April at the Hollywood Bowl, fans could expect guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Keith Richards, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow, and many more notable musicians.

Other celebrities that might make a cameo in the film include Chelsea Handler, Ethan Hawke, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner, Owen Wilson, and Woody Harrelson, who all paid tribute to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Inductee during the concert.

In a statement shared with the media, Rothbaum spoke about what went into the decision, saying, “Demand to attend this historic concert event was unprecedented.”

Keith Wortman, the CEO of Blackbird Presents, added, “Willie wanted to make sure his 90th birthday party included and was accessible to all of his fans. This concert film release will allow everyone to join in and celebrate with Willie and an amazing line-up of superstar artists. We are thrilled to share this concert event with fans around the globe in such a unique and powerful way.”

If you’re a small business owner who has used the phrase “Taco Tuesday” to advertise your super dope taco night, watch out — you’re opening yourself up to legal action against Taco John’s, who has apparently trademarked the phrase. Luckily, for all of us who love the phrase, Taco Bell today petitioned the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to cancel the trademark.

Yes, that’s right, Taco Bell has decided to wage a war for “Taco Tuesday.” On a Tuesday. While serving tacos. It’s poetic justice.

We can’t be alone in thinking that the idea of any entity trademarking the phrase “Taco Tuesday” is ridiculous. It’s like your uncle Terry, who tells you every Thanksgiving without fail “Bro, you know ‘talk to the hand?’ Well, I invented that!’” Sure, Terry. Sure you did.

As ridiculous as it is, Taco John’s, a Wyoming-based taco chain, has owned the trademark since 1989 in 49 states excluding New Jersey, where the phrase is owned by another small business, Gregory’s. And the brand is pretty litigious about it too, Axios reports that Taco John’s lawyers have sent cease-and-desist letters to restaurants and even media outlets for using the term. Taco Bell’s petition calls for the cancellation of both Taco John’s and Gregory’s trademark and believes “‘Taco Tuesday’ should belong to all who make, sell, eat and celebrate tacos.”

We wholeheartedly agree! Fight that good fight, Taco Bell. And bring back the beef meximelt while you’re at it!

Earlier today, it was reported that British rapper Slowthai appeared in court on charges of oral and vaginal penetration of a woman without consent — in other words, rape. While details were scarce, it was reported that Slowthai, whose real name is Tyron Frampton, appeared to confirm his indictment, identity, and address, then was given bail and a new hearing date next month before a crown court, which is one of the three senior courts of England and Wales. The incident was said to take place in September 2021.

Slowthai responded to the accusations against him in a statement on Twitter. “Regarding the allegations being reported about me,” he wrote. “I categorically deny the charges. I am innocent and I am confident my name will be cleared. Until then I will apply my energy to ensure this is concluded swiftly and justly. I ask that my supporters don’t comment about this situation and respect the process and privacy of my family during this time.”

In 2019, Slowthai garnered popular acclaim with the release of his debut album, Nothing Great About Britain. The album was nominated for the Mercury Prize and since then, he’s risen in stature, contributing vocals to projects from American artists like Brockhampton, Denzel Curry, James Blake, Tyler The Creator, and more. His most recent album, UGLY (U Gotta Love Yourself, was released on March 3 this year, reaching No. on the UK’s Billboard albums chart equivalent.
